Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American TV personality who is a chef, and a ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at the Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host who has spiky blond wigs and a pumped-up appearance, shares tips on how to cook restaurant-style dishes at home, using easy methods. Chef Burrell was a student and worked in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the culinary landscape of Italy. Burrell, who grew up in New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went after earning an English degree as well as a communications certificate in Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had the most enjoyable time of my life. It was impossible to learn, do or work enough. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. During her time in Italy she was able to fully appreciate and understand the philosophy of Italian culinary and cultural traditions that has had a profound impact in her perspective. Burrell is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that helps brighten the lives of children who are struggling. She also is a Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation celebrity advocate where she raises awareness about juvenile diabetics. She speaks about her cooking love and imparts her knowledge of the culinary world as she frequently is in the United States for both her roles as mentors and speakers. Anne said she felt lucky that I could share her true passion with other people.
