Rose McGowan

 

Rosa Arianna "Rose") McGowan was born on 5 September on 1973. She is an American actress. McGowan made her film debut in 1992 in Encino Man (1992), and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award nomination in 1995 for her performance as the dark comedy The Doom Generation (1995). Her breakthrough role was in the horror film Scream in the year 1996. She then headlined the films Jawbreaker (1999) and Devil in the Flesh (2000). In the decade 2000, McGowan became known to TV viewers for her character in the role of Paige Matthews in The WB supernatural drama series Charmed (2001-2006). McGowan was also the main character in Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007) which for which she was nominated both for the Saturn Award as Best Actress and for the Scream Award as Best Scream Queen. McGowan was in the action thriller series Chosen (2014), and released her debut studio album, Planet 9, in 2018, which was followed by a repackaging in 2020. In 2017, Time acknowledged McGowan as one of the Silence Breakers, the magazine's Person of the Year, for speaking out about sexual harassment and assault particularly with respect to the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse cases as well as the Me Too movement. She's published a memoir, Brave, and starred in the documentary series Citizen Rose, which consists of four parts. Citizen Rose, both in the year 2018.
