Sarah Hyland

Sarah Hyland was the daughter of actors Melissa D. Canaday (New York City) and Edward James Hyland (New York City). Her career began in the field at 4 , doing voiceovers as well as commercial work. Private Parts was her first film. The Object of My Affection was her second film. She starred on Another World (1964), as Rain Wolfe, a child who was found in a park and was fostered by Josie. Sarah would later collaborate with Amy Carlson ("Josie" on AW) several more times: Falcone (2000), Law & Order (1990) and Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005). Sarah was a part of Jennifer Love Hewitt's The Audrey Hepburn Story(2000) as one of the young Audrey Hepburns. The next year, she was a part in ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney: Annie (1999), starring Audra McDonald, Victor Garber, Kristin Chernoweth, Joe Gould's Secret ((2000) as well as Falcone ((2000)). In addition to her television and film work, Sarah studied voice, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, Theatre Dance, and performed in her Theatre and tap dance classes in "Reel to Real" at Lincoln Center as invited performers.A born in New York and raised there, Sarah spent much of her time working in television, film, and voicing many radio ads in addition to traveling with her father Edward James Hyland, while he worked at many different theaters in the country. As a child, she was home-schooled. mom, she attended public schools until the second grade. When she was in 6th grade she was admitted to PPAS (Professional Performing Arts School) in which she remained until 2008 when she graduated. When Sarah was 18 and moved to Los Angeles, CA and within two weeks she had been able to land a plane named "My American Family". The name was picked up and was changed to Modern Family (2009). Sarah is currently "Haley Dunphy", an eldest Dunphy children. Modern Family (2009) has been awarded numerous times, including the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series.
